? 09 - The Ben
Plan to visit the North Face of The Ben (Ben Nevis) sometime this year. Don't intend to summit on this occasion. Setting off from the North Face car park at Torlundy, the intention is to climb Meall an t-Suidhe (700 m) for the views (often better than from the oft-misty/in cloud summit of Ben Nevis), then drop down to the Lochan and pick
up the track towards the CIC hut, from there heading into Coire na Ciste to reconnoitre Number 3 and Number 4 gullys (with a view to a future [winter] climb), returning to ascend to the end of Coire Leis to see if a Ben
attempt looks feasible up the headwall on the Ben side of the CMD arête.
